Meghan Norean (she/they) is a cyclical living guide and womb witch who weaves together what she calls cycle magic, for the regeneration of body, earth and community. Through ritual, bodyfulness, meditation and tarot, she creates space for people to remember and reclaim their cyclical power. She describes herself as an embodied dancer of life, moving through the cycles of womb, earth and moon.
Her own path into this work began after 14 years of suppressing her cyclical nature with the hormonal birth control pill. She burned out and lost her sense of who she was. In the quiet of that dark night of the soul, she heard a voice from within calling her home to her natural rhythm. Since aligning her life to the inner seasons of her cycle, she says she has been able to celebrate her strengths and care for her vulnerabilities with gentleness.
That experience shapes her teaching. She guides people in understanding their menstrual cycle, from the archetypal language of the inner seasons to the strengths and vulnerabilities of each phase. Her offerings include workshops on charting the cycle and creating ritual, tarot, an introduction to Druid magic, womb ceremony, and solstice retreats. She also hosts the Conscious Cycling podcast and shares meditations. She often offers her work through reciprocal generosity and sliding scales, within what she calls an anti-capitalist framework.
Her background spans dance movement therapy certification with Kolkata Sanvad, a 500-hour yoga teacher training, and studies at The Living School with the Center for Action and Contemplation. She also completed the Menstruality Leadership Program with the Red School, a year of Celtic Studies with Sharon Blackie, and Movement for Trauma training with Jane Clapp. She moved to India in 2010 and opened Shomota, a cloth pad social business in Kolkata, in 2014. She now lives in Kolkata.
Meghan dreams of a world where every bleeding body is honored for its natural rhythms, and where menstrual equity and empowerment are abundant.
Worth Knowing
Meghan Norean is a cyclical living guide and womb witch based in Kolkata who teaches menstrual cycle literacy as a path to personal and collective liberation. Rather than treating the menstrual cycle as a health problem to be managed or suppressed, she frames it through what she calls "cycle magic"—the recognition that the four phases of the menstrual cycle carry distinct archetypal strengths, vulnerabilities, and creative possibilities worth honoring. She hosts the Conscious Cycling podcast, leads workshops and solstice retreats centered on ritual and tarot, and teaches meditation grounded in cycle awareness and body reclamation. People engage her work because she combines rigorous training across multiple modalities—dance movement therapy, yoga, trauma-informed somatic practice, contemplative spirituality, and Celtic magic—into a teaching that feels both intellectually coherent and somatically alive. Her personal story matters too: she spent 14 years on hormonal birth control before burning out completely, and that experience of returning to her natural rhythm shapes everything she offers.
