Padma Gordon is a spiritual guide, embodied mindfulness counselor and movement educator. She is also the author of Being Together: Practical Wisdom for Loving Yourself and Your Partner, published in August 2020. She describes herself as a mother and lover of life, and her work invites people to deepen their connection to body, heart and soul.
Padma teaches about life, love and relationship through the lens of awakening. People across the country come to her at potent crossroads, when they are searching for deeper meaning or need insightful reflection. They may be ending a relationship, longing for more purposeful work, facing an illness, grieving a loss, or wanting to be more present in their lives. She helps them turn toward what they are experiencing, so they can create movement where they are stuck and come home to themselves.
She has been in practice for more than 20 years and draws on contemplative movement practices, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, embodiment, Somatic Gestalt, self-inquiry and radical truth-telling. Padma works with individuals and facilitates groups nationwide. She also offers weekly meditations and leads small, intimate retreats. Her teaching centers on listening to the body, quieting the mind and opening the heart.
Worth Knowing
Padma Gordon is a meditation teacher, spiritual guide, and movement educator who has been working with people through contemplative practice for more than 20 years. She combines mindfulness, embodied awareness, hypnotherapy, somatic approaches, and self-inquiry into a distinctive framework for personal transformation. Rather than positioning meditation as a separate spiritual practice, Padma integrates body-centered wisdom with psychological insight—her teaching draws on contemplative movement, Somatic Gestalt, and what she calls 'radical truth-telling' to help people access their own inner resources. People seek her out at significant life crossroads: relationship endings, career transitions, illness, grief, or simply the desire to be more present. Her reputation rests on the depth of her listening and her ability to help people recognize what their body already knows but their mind has overlooked—a rare combination of rigor and warmth that has built a nationwide following over two decades.
