Suryacitta describes himself plainly: he is not enlightened, and never will be. For more than twenty-five years he searched for awakening, enlightenment, self-realisation and Buddhahood, which he sees as different names the mind gives to freedom. The first fifteen years were spent within Buddhism, and the following decade in the world of non-duality, through books, videos, teachings and practices.
What he failed to notice for years was that he was trying to understand it through thought. Even when teachers said "this is not an experience," he turned that into another idea to grasp. His search ended through the direct, simple communication of Emerson, a speaker of non-duality. It did not end in fireworks or cosmic ecstasy. It faded gradually, almost unnoticed, and what remained was ordinary and quietly profound at once: nothing special and nothing mystical, just something so obvious it had been overlooked.
His teaching points to that. Words such as "reality" and "non duality" are constructs that describe but are never the thing itself. What a person is looking for is noticed in the gaps, before a thought appears, after it fades, and between words. Each page of his site closes with a simple invitation: don't think about it, and go to the experience the question takes you to.
He offers private one-to-one sessions over Zoom. They are confidential, and shared publicly on YouTube only if both people fully agree. They are not spiritual Q&As or discussions of philosophy. They are a space to step out of the search for a moment and notice the simple, ordinary presence that has never been absent.
