Cheryl Bailey is a certified life designer coach, yoga instructor, sound healer and trauma-informed breathwork practitioner based in Sedona, Arizona. She is the founder of Grit and Grace Meditation.
She spent years working in higher education and describes herself as a recovering perfectionist. A string of losses changed her course: a divorce, the death of her second husband from colon cancer, and Hurricane Sandy leaving her homeless. Meditation and yoga became the way she found what she calls grace for herself, along with a deeper sense of inner peace and self-awareness. Her stated goal is to help others build that same peace and live their best life one breath at a time.
Cheryl became a certified Baptiste yoga teacher in 2015. At the end of 2019 she completed a 200-hour Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher Training and founded Grit and Grace Meditation. In 2020 she began working with crystal alchemy bowls, which now sit at the heart of her sound healing. Her training also includes trauma-informed breathwork through Breath of Gold, a 40-hour Yoga Nidra teacher training, Hibiscus Moon crystal practitioner certification, mindfulness training for the workplace, and Usui/Holy Fire Level II Reiki. Her meditations are featured on Insight Timer.
She offers sound healing, breathwork, meditation, yoga, cacao ceremony and life coaching, in Sedona and virtually. She also leads women's retreats themed around self-love, designs private retreats, brings wellness sessions to workplaces, and trains and mentors new sound healing practitioners. Guests describe her as warm, welcoming and deeply gifted.
Away from her work, Cheryl enjoys hiking, travel, time in nature, paddle boarding and days at the beach. She shares her home life with her husband Marc, her three grown children, her granddaughter and a rescue dog named Quimby.
