How to Set Up Dynamic Pricing
Get started in under 2 minutes from your event dashboard
Open the Pricing Tab
Navigate to your event in the dashboard and select the Pricing tab. You'll see a Dynamic Pricing toggle at the top of the ticket tier settings.
Toggle On Dynamic Pricing
Enable the toggle for any ticket tier you want to use dynamic pricing on. You can enable it on some tiers while keeping others at a fixed price.
Set Floor & Ceiling Prices
Enter your minimum price (floor) and maximum price (ceiling). Dynamic pricing will never go below your floor or above your ceiling — you always control the range.
Choose Your Pricing Style
Select Conservative, Balanced, or Aggressive to control how quickly prices respond to demand. Balanced is recommended for most events.
- Start with Balanced for your first event — it works well for most audience types and gives you a feel for how demand responds.
- Set your ceiling at 1.5–2× your base price. This gives the algorithm room to optimize without shocking latecomers.
- Enable urgency messaging to nudge fence-sitters. A subtle "Price increased $5 since yesterday" converts browsers into buyers.
- Review analytics after each event to refine your floor, ceiling, and style for next time. The Pricing Analytics tab shows exactly how the algorithm performed.

Troubleshooting & Edge Cases
Common questions when things don't behave as expected
Price isn't changing
Dynamic pricing responds to sales velocity, not time alone. If ticket sales are slow, the price stays at your floor. The algorithm needs a meaningful sales signal before adjusting — typically 10–15% of capacity sold within a short window.
I want to lower the price mid-sale
Dynamic pricing only moves prices upward. To lower a price, disable dynamic pricing for that tier from the dashboard, then manually set the new price. You can re-enable dynamic pricing afterward with a new floor.
Multi-day or multi-tier events
Each ticket tier operates independently. A sell-out in General Admission won't affect VIP pricing. For multi-day festivals, each day's tickets track their own demand curve separately.
Free or donation-based tickets
Dynamic pricing only applies to paid, fixed-price tiers. Free tickets, donation tiers, and sliding-scale options are unaffected. Use the separate Donations & Sliding Scale feature for those.
